ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE – RETURNING STUDENTS (2007Admission)

 

STEP ONE: VISIT TO THE STUDY CENTRE

  1. Student presents him-/herself at his/her NOUN Study Centre for registration
  2. Designated officers at NOUN Study Centre do the following:
    1. Verify student’s Matriculation number
    2. Ascertain student’s programme and level
    3. Give student the list of the semester courses to be registered, the schedule of fees and the list of participating banks at which registration payment can be made.
  3. Candidate goes to designated bank listed below to do the following:
    1. Collect a teller from the cashier
    2. Complete the teller 
    3. Write clearly on the teller ‘NOUN REGISTRATION FEES’ and your Matriculation number
    4. Submit completed teller to the cashier
    5. Collect a copy of the teller and a copy of computer-generated receipt (e-payment receipt**) from the cashier

**Note: The computer-generated receipt contains a receipt number and a confirmation order number.

  1. Candidate goes back to the Study Centre to tender his/her registration e-payment receipt and the bank teller and, collects the Bursary pin and NOUN receipt.

STEP TWO: REGISTERING ON LINE:

  1. (a) Visit NOUN website @ www.nou.edu.ng and click on “Students”.
    (b) On the gray left area of the screen, under “Event”, click on “Student Registration
    Or
  1. Visit www.nounonline.com
  2. Take note of the information on the screen and click on “REGISTER”
  3. Do the following:
    1. Key in Matriculation number
    2. If candidate is a first timer, key in Matriculation number as initial access password otherwise, key in password set by candidate
  1. Click on “Logon” button
  2. Read the message on the screen and click on “New password” to proceed
  3. On the next screen, enter new password twice
  4. Click on the “Logon” button again
  5. On the next screen do the following:
  6. Click on “Load fund” in between “welcome” and “mycourse”
  7. Click on  “Add fund” just below “Account Balance”
  8. On the next screen, Enter e-payment receipt number and e-payment confirmation order number
  9. On the next screen, Enter bursary pin issued at the Study Centre
  10. Read the message on the screen and click on “Thank you”
  11. Click “Return” to go back to the main portal
  12. Click on “my courses” to go to the course select screen
  13. On the course select screen, click “Add course”
  14. Click checkbox to check or uncheck the box corresponding to each course according to your choice
  15. Click on the “Save” button and then the on “Return” to conclude selection
  16. Read the message on the screen and follow the instruction written in red
  17. Click on “Print Copy” to make 3 copies of the courses for which you have registered
  18. Click on “Logout” when you are through

STEP THREE: COMPLETING REGISTRATION AT THE STUDY CENTRE:

  1. Back at the Study Centre, submit the following:
  2. 3 copies of registration form, (see step two, 8 above),
  3. Evidence of payment comprising of a copy of the bank teller, the e-payment receipt (see step one, 4 above) and NOUN receipt
  4. Collect course materials for registered courses

 

CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR STUDIES BEGIN NOW!

OFFICIAL USE ONLY
If a student is not cleared,

  1. The Centre Manager contacts the Academic Registry with the following:
    • Application number of the affected student and
    • The alternative programme offered to the student and,

advises the student to come back in 2 days (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) to conclude the screening exercise

  1. The academic registry updates the student’s record immediately with the supplied information

Note: a, b and c should be done within 48 hours of screening that is, 2 days
Step 8, number 4 and 5 may not be applicable to all students
