Instructions for completing 2011/2012 Application Form

APPLICATION FOR 2009/2010 ADMISSION

This is to inform all prospective applicants, that the sale of forms for admission into the National Open University of Nigeria has commenced.

In order to alleviate the problems being encountered by prospective applicants, the University, in consultation with the designated banks and other stakeholders in the admission process, wishes to advise prospective students to visit the NOUN Study Centre nearest to them for detailed information and explanations on the procedure for application for admission. For the purposes of clarity and emphasis, the eleven steps to successful admission are as follows:

Steps:

  1. Walk into any of the participating banks:

    Intercontinental Bank Plc IBTC/Chartered Bank
    Oceanic Bank Skye Bank
    Spring Bank Sterling Bank

  2. Pay for NOUN application form (please specify that payment is for application form).
  3. Obtain a NOUN Teller and the Etranzact reciept, specially designed for NOUN for the purpose of admission.
  4. This Etranzact reciept has two numbers: Reciept and Confirmation numbers.
  5. Take your teller to the nearest Study Centre, and obtain a Bursary reciept and Bursary pin number.
  6. Go to a cyber café or anywhere you can have an internet access.
  7. Click on www.noun.edu.ng to go straight to the application form.
  8. Use your Receipt and Confirmation numbers (as contained in the Etranzact receipt obtained at the bank), as well as the Bursary pin number to access your NOUN online application form.
  9. Complete the application form by providing the required information.
  10. Note that, if you have not fully completed all the required information you are at liberty to continue/correct before you submit.
  11. When FINISHED, you may submit your Form by clicking the submit button.

 

The University has also been informed that some bank staff may demand for fees in excess of the approved cost of an application form. For the avoidance of doubt, applicants are hereby informed, once more, that an application form costs N5,000 (Five thousand, five hundred naira only) for under graduate programmes and N10,000 (Ten thousand naira only) for Post graduate Programmes respectively.

On no account should any applicant pay more than this sum to procure a copy of the application form. Applicants are advised to insist on paying the stipulated cost only and obtain official receipt at the point of payment.
