Important Practical Information

  • Registration & Information Desk: is located at the side foyer of the Grand Ballroom, Eko Hotel & Suites. This is will be the main referral point for any queries you may have during the conference.

 

  • Opening and Registration Hours:
Tuesday 8th July 2008         07.30 – 16.00

  • Transportation:
    • Shuttle buses are available to convey participants lodged in other hotels accredited by the conference to and from the venue.
    • For those staying outside the accredited hotels, taxis and buses are available from different locations to the conference venue.
    • Paid parking spaces are available for participants who are driving to the venue.

  • Exchange Service:
  • Foreign exchange services are available at the conference venue, however delegates are advised to change their currencies at the Airport on arrival.
  • An ATM is also available on the conference ground.

 

  • Exhibition:
The conference is accompanied by an exhibition and demonstration area for learning and technology products.

  • Exhibition Opening Hours:
Tuesday 8th July 2008         09.00 – 18.00
Wednesday 9th July 2008    09.00 – 18.30
Thursday 10th July 2008     09.00 – 18.30
Friday 11th July 2008         09.00 - 14.00

  • Pre-conference Workshops:
Pre-conference events will be taking place on Tuesday 8th July 2008. If you have not pre-registered, you can register for any of the four workshops at the registration bay on Tuesday 8th July between 8.00am – 9.00 am.

  • Excursions:
Tours will be available for participants who wish to see some of the great sights that are in Lagos. You can register for the available tours at negotiated rates at the registration point. Please check for additional information on the message board.

  • Internet Access:
The poolside area and the Grand Ball room are ‘Internet hotspots’ for wireless access. Delegates can also access the Internet from the conference cybercafé located at the ‘Lekki Room’ on the 1st floor.

  • Message Board:
A message board can be found in the registration area. Please check this regularly:

  • for any changes or updates in the programme;
  • for any daily announcements, and;
  • to see if a colleague or friend has left you a message.  You can also use the Message Boards to leave messages for friends and colleagues to try and get in touch with them during the conference.
  • Healthcare:
In the unlikely event that delegates require medical attention for minor ailments, healthcare facilities are available at the conference venue.  
  • Smoking Policy:
Please note that the ACDE 2008 is a non-smoking event. Smoking is not allowed inside the Venue.
