Software Application Training
The IT industry is obviously a dynamic sector with innovations and advances taking place in quick subsection. To cope with the pace of growth in this industry, there is need for software application training in an institution like NOUN. The University required all employees to be competent in the use of Computer systems. The Department provide a suitable platform for user to be educated in the use of various software application packages as the need be for various Schools, Directorates, Units and Study Centres. As part of the University social responsibility to her host community, NOUN has Computer Appreciation Training Course for members of the General Public (free). This training is been handled by the Department and certificates are presented to participants at the end of such training.

Hardware Engineering
The Department charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the University computer systems are functional. A Team of Engineers are on ground for routine maintenances and trouble shooting of both the Desktops and Laptop Computers in the University.
The Department also collaborate with both local suppliers and International vendors for the purpose of effective service delivery.

Digital Lab
The University establish a modern Digital Lab in all Study Centres across the nation. The Digital Lab in the University Head quarters is christened “Omatek Lab”. The lab is equipped with high performance PCs with Internet access connection and a 35” Plasma Screen powered with a DVD player for instruction and presentation delivery. The Lab extensively use for IT training services and for various on-line examinations.

ID Card Production
The Department is equipped with standard encoding tools for ID Card production. These tools are such the final ID Card for both Staff and Students are machine readable for proper identification. is very CNS offers reliable email services for all departments and staff NOUN. The core of the system, named Noun groupware, consolidates email services into a unified, reliable set of tools that include standard email, mailing lists, and a web-based email client.

Online application and Registration Technical Support
Staff provides support services to students on admission and registration of courses via the Internet.

Videoconferencing and Teleconferencing Services
In order to meet the need for interaction between students and tutors in an Open Distance Learning environment, videoconferencing facility is provided between the Head Quarters and the Study Centres strategically located in the geopolitical zones around the country.
