The Directorate of Media & Information is conceived by the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to provide a framework and a rationalization to Noun’s technology and Media based projects. The main function of the Directorate is to produce broadcast instructional materials, transmit them via Radio, TV, Satellite, the web and project a positive image for the institution by providing information and communications and serve as a link between the university and the general public.
In addition to the above responsibilities the Media & Information Directorate promotes NOUN products & services, improve work culture and advocacy to massify the quality of NOUN services.
It is hoped that Media & Information activities and programmes will change the Nigerian higher education paradigm, thinking culture and performances, focusing on Open and Distance Learning (ODL) benefits.
