EVALUATION

CCE & WT exams written at approved NOUN Centres. You will be evaluated i all courses you have registered for whether practical, theory or project work. Tests are submitted to the centre through our specially designed leak-proof arrangement for marking For Theory Courses that use distance learning approaches there are three components making up your assessment.

a. The self-assessment exercises or questions within each unit of the lecture. These are meant to probe your under- standing of the concepts in the unit. It non- grading, that is, it does not add up to your grade in the course. It is advisable that, though your answers to these questions do not add up a credit to your overall grade in the course, you attempt all the questions yourself.

b. The tutor marked assignment of about 3 or 4 for a whole course. All of these you must compulsorily answer and be graded. The grade for the best two or three assignments will be used in your assessment. The TMA's constitute 40% weight-age for each course.

c. The end-or-semester examination is the third component and constitutes 60% of the total for each course. The period of sitting for the examination may be different from the scheduled end-of- semester examination period.
